I generate form by looking at how we make territorial claims on people, land, and goods. I want to know what constitutes the commons.  From there, I generate a geography of our claims on it.  In the process, I have made art about diaspora and refugees; prisoners of war; pilgrims, saints and reliquaries; exclusion and sanctuary.   Employing primarily metals and wood, I assemble sculptures and installations abstracted from the built or natural landscape; from the history of a place, or from a social process.  My aim is to unveil the content’s subjectivity and subvert poses of neutrality.
